Vespertine & Destroyer

Vespertine is the vision of chef Jordan Kahn—a Michelin-starred dining experience in Culver City, Los Angeles, conceived in collaboration with architect Eric Owen Moss and a group of renowned artists. More than a restaurant, Vespertine is a multi-sensory event where food, art, architecture, music, and sculpture converge into something that defies categorization. Destroyer, Kahn's minimalist daytime counterpart located nearby, offers an equally intentional but contrasting experience—an intimate spot for inventive Scandinavian-style breakfast and lunch fare, where restraint is the design philosophy.

Working closely with Kahn across both concepts, I developed visual identity systems for each—including custom typefaces and logos built from the ground up, designed to feel like a natural extension of the experience itself: architectural, intentional, and unmistakably Kahn.

The result is two brand identities as distinct as the experiences they represent, yet unmistakably connected by the same uncompromising creative vision.
